Email Players subscriber Ray Brehm profits from the “bowl of hell”:

===

I know you talk about this quite a bit, but last week (Black Friday week) was absolute proof to
me that when you go nearly full elBenbo (using many of your teachings), the results are pretty
darn good.

The combination of non-neediness, copy trolling, the "George Costanza School of" , and
Copynomicon, makes it hard to fail.

The very first email of my Copynomicon Campaign predicted that there would be some trolling
responses to it. Later that day I was rewarded. It was suggested that my offer would land me in
some type of "Bowl of Hell". So email #3 described how I was apparently going to some Bowl of
Hell for helping authors. That email easily made me 8k in sales.

My George Costanza School of Self-Publishing email #5 made around 5k. The sum of all the
parts was a 20k week on something that is not our bread and butter product.

The icing on the cake was the non-neediness feeling that creates. I got some trolling from
someone who purchased. He had not followed the instructions to use the coupon, and had
purchased the upsell too (around 2k value to me). He was angry, and demanded the lowest
possible price because "he already couldn't afford it". He also suggested that because we sold
the product beyond Black Friday at a higher price, he mocked that we must not have sold
enough.

I simply refunded and in a roundabout way explained that we did fine on sales and he was no
longer eligible (aka. he could go $@#& himself).

And so it goes.

If you sell anything of quality, to any market with a fair number of people… then sooner or later,
no matter how “good” and “kind” you are, someone will eventually troll your business. It may or
may not be one of these goons I’ve been talking about all week drooling on the carpet in your
replies. But even the less unhinged ones will almost certainly find you, in my opinion.

It’s just the nature of the internet.

If you want to learn the troll’s pathology, and how to monetize them, then the March Email
Players issue can help you do just that. It’s low on “do this, this, and then this!” tactics and long
on breaking down the online troll’s pathology.

Still, I do squeeze in some powerful methods for direct monetization.

For example, I also teach:

1. A turn-by-turn case study of how I have been — and continue to — profit from my all-time
favorite troll to the tune of probably 6-figures so far and counting, including one of the emails I
wrote for doing it

2. A clever way FDR used his trolls to win landslide elections

3. How to potentially profit and grow your business without ever even interacting with, talking
about, or so much as acknowledging the existence of your trolls, snarky drive-by commenters,
and other assorted reply guys who probably lower your IQ every time you waste time reading
something they send
