1. On a certain day, Rosita started driving towards Stevie’s place


at a speed of 45 kmph. After moving for 2 hours, she realized
that she needed to reach Stevie’s place in another 2 hours only.
Therefore, she increased her speed to 65 kmph and reached
Stevie’s place exactly on time. What is the average speed of
her journey?
2. A bus traveling at an average rate of 50 kilometers per hour
made the trip to town in 6 hours. If it had traveled at 45
kilometers per hour, how many more minutes would it have taken
to make the trip?
3. Maria left home and traveled toward the capital at an average
speed of 80 km/h. Sometime later, Imani left traveling in the
opposite direction with an average speed of 45 km/h. After Maria
has traveled for six hours they were 705 km apart. Find the
number of hours Imani traveled.
4. A passenger train traveled to the repair yards and back. On the
trip there, it traveled 68 mph and on the return trip it went 85
mph. How long did the trip there take if the return trip took four
hours?
5. A bus leaves for Rampur at 4:30 p.m. It takes 1 hr. 25 min. to
reach there. At what time will it reach at Rampur?
6. Shelly sleeps for 7 hours 30 minutes in a day. Foe how many
hours did she sleep in the month of January?
7. The duration of a film show is 3 hr. 15 min. It starts at 6:30 p.m.
When will it end?
8. The Punjab Mail arrived at Lucknow at 11:55 a.m. It reached at
Lucknow 1 hr. 25 min. late. What is the scheduled arrival time of
the train at Lucknow?
