GENERAL INSTRUCTIONS:
a) This question paper has 5 sections A-E.
b) All the questions are compulsory. However, an internal choice is provided in some
questions. A student is expected to attempt only one of these questions.
c) Section A has 20 questions carrying 01 mark each.
d) Section B has 9 questions carrying 2 mark each.
e) Section C has 8 questions carrying 3 marks each.
f) Section D has 2 question carrying 4 marks each.
g) Section E has 2 question carrying 5 marks each.

2. Find the LSA and TSA of the cylinder with the radius 3.5m and height 10m.
OR
A cuboid of dimensions 12cm, 6cm and 3cm is melted to form a cube. Find the length of the cube.
3. The height of a trapezium is 7m and one of its base is 8m. If the area of trapezium is 154m 2, find the other base.
4. Construct a rectangle with sides 4 cm and 3cm.
5. A car was bought at Rs 250000 in 2020. Its value depreciated at the rate of 10% per annum. Find its value after
5 years.
6. A car travels 215 Km on 24 litres of petrol. How many kilometres will the car travel if it uses only 10 litres of
petrol?
7. A sum of Rs 5000 is borrowed at a rate of interest 10% per annum for 3 years. Find the simple interest on this
sum and the amount to be paid at the end of 3 years.
8. A shopkeeper allows a 5% discount on an article. The selling price is Rs 2800. Find the marked price of the
article.
9. If 7 taps can fill a tank in 5 hours, how many hours will 4 taps take to fill the same tank?
10. Two adjacent sides of a parallelogram are in the ratio 4:5. If the smaller side is 20 cm, find the perimeter of the
parallelogram.

12. The walls and ceiling of a room are to be plastered. The length, breadth and height of the room are 4.5m, 3m
and 350 cm respectively. Find the cost of plastering at the rate of Rs 8 per m 2.
13. Using Euler's Formula find:
i. V=6, F=8, E=?
ii. V=?, F=4, E=6
iii. V=12, F=?, E=30
14. If the volume of a room is 792 m3 and the area of the floor is 132 m3, find the height of the room.
15. In what time will Rs 64000 amount to Rs 68921 at 5% per annum, compound half-yearly?
16. How many bags of wheat can be emptied into a cylinder container of height 7m and base radius 2m, if the
volume required by each bag of wheat is 11m3.
17. The diagonals of a rhombus are in the ratio 2:3. If the area of the rhombus is 121.5cm 2, then find the lengths of
its diagonals.
18. In parallelogram ABCD, AB=5x-4, CD= 3x+6, AD= 2y+3, BC= 3y-5. Find the length of each side of the
parallelogram.
19. Six men working for 8 hours can assemble 36 machines.How many machines can be assembled by 4 men
working for 4 hours?

20. Draw a Cartesian plane and plot the following points: P(1,2), Q(0,0), R(3,4), (4,0)
21. Find the area of the figure:

22. Construct a quadrilateral PQRS with RS= 6cm, PQ= 7.8cm, RQ=3cm, SP= 5.5cm, angle S= 80. Write the steps
of construction.

using line graphs.
