petrol?
7. A sum of Rs 5000 is borrowed at a rate of interest 10% per annum for 3 years. Find the simple interest on this
sum and the amount to be paid at the end of 3 years.
8. A shopkeeper allows a 5% discount on an article. The selling price is Rs 2800. Find the marked price of the
article.
9. If 7 taps can fill a tank in 5 hours, how many hours will 4 taps take to fill the same tank?
10. Two adjacent sides of a parallelogram are in the ratio 4:5. If the smaller side is 20 cm, find the perimeter of the
parallelogram.

11. Find the area of the figure:

12. The walls and ceiling of a room are to be plastered. The length, breadth and height of the room are 4.5m, 3m
and 350 cm respectively. Find the cost of plastering at the rate of Rs 8 per m 2.

18. In parallelogram ABCD, AB=5x-4, CD= 3x+6, AD= 2y+3, BC= 3y-5. Find the length of each side of the
parallelogram.
19. Six men working for 8 hours can assemble 36 machines.How many machines can be assembled by 4 men
working for 4 hours?

20. Draw a Cartesian plane and plot the following points: P(1,2), Q(0,0), R(3,4), (4,0)
21. Find the area of the figure:
