There was a flash flood around the Ciliwung river, the flood was thought to be due to very
heavy rain from 07.00 p.m to 09.00 a.m in the morning. Around 137 heads of families lost
their homes due to the flood. The government immediately provided assistance in the form
of clean water, food, drink, medicine and clothing for refugees.

One of the causes is also suspected to be the local community's habit of throwing garbage
carelessly into the Ciliwung river, causing flooding when the rainy season comes.
