LOVING
COLLABORATOR
WELSPRING CAMP
At my parents camp for people
with special needs, I had to be a
loving collaborator from a very
2014
young age. I would try to
influence the campers by serving
them in ways like spending time
with them, talking to them and
listening to them
2015
better. MOVING TO THE DR
Moving to the Dominican
Republic was both exiting
and nerve racking. My
family and I came here in
the hopes of serving the
community in Jarbacoa.
STARTING AT DOULOS
During my first year at doulos
I still wasn't very good at
2016
Spanish, but I chose to take a
risk and go to the normal
Spanish classes instead of new
Spanish learner classes that
later paid off since I learned
Spanish with my class.
OUTDOOR ED
On my outdoor ed trip in 5th
grade, we went to spirit
2017
mountain to learn about local
birds. There were experts that
talked about the birds. This was
me listening to and respecting
others ideas.
2020 COVID
We had to take time off of
in person school to stay at
home. This was a difficult
time to be a loving
collaborator, however, I was
still able to suggest work
based on the strengths of
classmates in group works.
GOING BACK TO SCHOOL
Finally after being away from
school for so long, being able
to come back was an
2021
opportunity to be with my class
again. Even though we were
together, I had to make
compromises of not getting too
close and wear a mask so we
could all study in person
