Significance of the Study


Generally, this study is undoubtedly significant in any way it can serve since it

provides fundamental knowledge to the readers about factors affecting mathematics

academic achievements. Specifically, the following beneficiaries can benefit from this

study.

School Administrators. This study may give an avenue on how

administrators may positively aid in the enhancement of students' academic

achievement, particularly to widen the learning attitude in mathematics. This study

might serve as a foundation for improving school advancement.

Teachers. This study broadens mathematics instructors' perspectives on the

relevance of their personality traits, as well as how they influence the lives of college

students in terms of interest and study habits in mathematics subjects.

Parents. This study gives guidance on the role of parents in monitoring,

mentoring, and supervising their children's study habits to improve their academic

performance and achievement in this subject.

Students. The findings of the study assist students in developing an interest

in mathematics and appreciating the value of mathematics in their daily lives.

Future Researchers. The findings of this study offer opportunities for

future researchers and lay the groundwork for more investigation. Future

researchers may explore other determinants that affect mathematics academic

achievement that was not investigated in this study.

REVIEW OF RELATED LITERATURE

This chapters resents the review of related literature which has a significant bearing
on the conduct of the present study. The discussion in this section is organized
according to the variables of the study which include; student factors: study habits
and student interest; and teacher factors: personality traits, teaching skills,
instructional materials, teaching strategies used, and mathematics academic
achievement. This is immediately followed by the correlation between measures.
