ABSTRACT

This study aimed to examine the relationship between Spending

Patterns of CHED Recipients and Sustainability among Selected Scholar

Grantees in Panabo City. The independent variable of the study is spending

patterns with the indicator of budgeting. The dependent variable of the study

is sustainability with the indicator of Financial Sustainability. This study

applied a descriptive correlation for sampling one hundred eighty (180)

CHED recipients in Panabo City. This study employed survey questionnaires

of both variables.

The questionnaires were administered personally to the target

respondents and collected by the researchers for interpretation to determine

the result of the study. Moreover, the statistical tools used in interpretation of

data were weighted mean and Pearson-r. The over-all mean for the level of

spending patterns is 3.52 with the descriptive equivalent of high which is

indicated by budgeting while the level of sustainability has an over-all mean

of 4.46 with the descriptive equivalent of very high. The findings show that

there is no significant relationship between spending patterns of CHED

recipients and sustainability among selected scholar grantees in Panabo

City.

Keywords: spending patterns, budgeting, sustainability, financial

sustainability
