German Air Rescue Service
With more than 50 rescue helicopters (type H145 D2/D3 and EC135/H135) and 37 stations, the non-profit ADAC
Luftrettung is the largest Helicopter Emergency Medical Service (HEMS) provider in Germany and one of
the largest air rescue organizations in Europe. The ADAC rescue helicopters are part of the German public rescue
service system, are exclusively dispatched by the public control center via the nationwide emergency number
“112” and are on the spot for any accident victim or any person in need of emergency medical care.
„Against time and for life“ is the guiding principle of ADAC Luftrettung gGmbH because especially in the case
of serious injuries or illnesses, the faster the patient is transported to a suitable hospital or treated on site by
our expert emergency physicians, the better their chances of survival or convalescence. Since 2017, ADAC Luft-
rettung has been a subsidiary of the non-profit ADAC Foundation.

vironment we offer a broad course portfolio for out-of-hospital and in-hospital emergency medical care –

Human factor training & Consultancy

˿ We perform training in Crew Resource Management (CRM) not just to fulfil a legal obligation but with the
goal to make multi-professional teams really doing a safer job - in HEMS, in aviation, in emergency care,
and in other high-risk environments - adapting our human factor course formats to almost any target
group.
˿ Providing HEMS is much more than having the right helicopter and well-trained crews. We can facilitate
new services in that field in all aspects of providing HEMS – with specialized consultants and the back-
ground of more than 50 years of experience in HEMS.
