Bakit ang Pamilya ay isang likas na Institusyon?

1. Nabuo ang pamilya sa pagmamahalan ng isang lalaki at babaeng nag pasyang magpakasal at magsama nang habambuhay.
2. Ang pamilya ang una at pinakamahalagang yunit ng lipunan. Ito angpundasyon ng lipunan at patuloy na sumusuporta dito dahil sa
gampanin nitong magbigay- buhay.
3. Ang pamilya ang orihinal na paaralan ng pagmamahal.
4. Ang pamilya ang una at hindi mapapalitang paaralan para sa panlipunang buhay.
5. May panlipunan at pampolitikal na gampanin ang pamilya.
6. Mahalagang misyon ng pamilya ang pagbibigay ng edukasyon, paggabay samabuting pagpapasiya, at paghubog ng
pananampalataya.

Kung kaya ang pag papamilya ay dapat masusing pinag paplanuhan ng sa ganon maibigay ng mga magulang ang lahat ng
pangangailangan ng kanyang magiging pamilya.

Family Size

In terms of the number of members, a family is considered small if it consists of parents and at most two (2) children. A family is big if
it consists of parents and three (3) or more children, and other members.

Effects of Family Size on Health The size of a family may affect the health of members on the following:
1. Nutritional Status: The state of the body with respect to each nutrient and to the overall state of the body weight and condition (e.g.,
malnourish or underweight, obese or overweight, etc.)
2. Morbidity: Exit from a state of physical or psychological well-being, resulting from disease, illness, injury, or sickness.
3. Risk Behaviors: Specific forms of behavior which are proven to be Region V/Daily Lesson Plan/2019-2020 associated with increased
susceptibility to a specific disease or ill-health (e.g., using and abusing drugs, drinking too much alcohol, eating disorders, etc.).
4. Utilization of Health Services: Experience of people as to their receipt of health care services of different types.

Healthy relationships are enjoyable and respectful and provide opportunities for many positive experiences that affect self-esteem. We
can develop healthy relationships with anyone, including family, friends, and dating partners. It takes time, energy, and care to develop positive,
healthy relationships. Relationships made during the teenage years can become very special and may form an important part of life. There are
also many lessons to be learned from the relationships we have.

Divide the class into two. Each group will be given 5 minutes to prepare for a debate on the motion, “Which is better, having a small family
or a big family?” (Tossing of coin will determine the side/position of each group.)

1. Having a positive family environment could support good mental and emotional health, which in turn could lead to better
physical health. Strong family relationships marked by open communication, honesty, humour, and reassurance could
strengthen your mental and emotional well-being.
