The Struggle of Homework: Creating a Kid-Friendly

Homework Area
Homework can be a daunting task for both kids and parents alike. The thought of sitting down for
hours, completing assignments and studying for tests can be overwhelming for any child. However,
creating a designated homework area for your child can make the process a lot more manageable and
enjoyable.

First and foremost, a homework area should be a designated space solely dedicated to studying and
completing assignments. This means no distractions such as toys, video games, or television should
be present in this area. This will help your child focus solely on their work and eliminate any
potential distractions.

When designing a homework area, it's important to consider the comfort and ergonomics of the
space. A comfortable chair and desk at the appropriate height can make a world of difference in your
child's ability to sit and work for extended periods of time. Additionally, proper lighting and a
clutter-free environment can also contribute to a more productive and comfortable study space.

It's also important to personalize the homework area to your child's interests and learning style. This
can include adding colorful posters, motivational quotes, or even a small plant to the space.
Personalizing the area can make it more inviting and enjoyable for your child, making homework feel
less like a chore.

Creating a homework area not only benefits your child, but it can also help parents. With a
designated space for homework, parents can easily monitor their child's progress and offer assistance
when needed. It also helps establish a routine and structure for homework time, making it easier for
both the child and parent to stay organized and on track.

If you're struggling to create a suitable homework area for your child, consider seeking help from
professionals at ⇒ StudyHub.vip ⇔. They offer a variety of services to assist with homework,

have a designated space that is conducive to learning and productivity.

In conclusion, creating a kid-friendly homework area is essential for a successful and stress-free
homework experience. By eliminating distractions, considering comfort and personalization, and
seeking professional help if needed, your child can have a designated space that promotes
productivity, focus, and enjoyment of learning. Don't let homework be a struggle any longer, invest
in a homework area for your child today.
I also created free art by making my own vintage inspired flashcard art and framing it. Then I paired
it up with three Target chairs that also had an industrial vibe. The colors, the style and all the great
accessories. Guilty as charged. But as a former biochem major nerd, I was giddy to find these as an
ode to all of those chemistry classes I took in college. I do not accept guest posts of any kind at this
time. The clips (and the height you hang your curtain rod) allow you some wiggle room with the
length of your curtains. Be careful about chastising your child when they struggle. For more
information, see my full disclosure and privacy policy. Inside you will find all of the tools to turn
your Pinterest dream room into reality. Have fun. We didn’t have any lights on the wall before, so he
had to pull all new wires for them. If you are building it yourself and are using a heavy piece of
wood I think adding in an extra middle support is NEVER a bad idea. As long as it’s in line with
teacher requirements, having fun will keep motivation up. And all the nice quotes in the frames are
just beautiful. I hope that helps! Unless you are super savvy I would hire out a pro. I’ve been
watching the progression online and these are talented ladies. So we went about creating a
farmhouse style Kid's Homework (and Craft) Area where they each had their own station. I LOVE
that table. Do you have a link to it on IKEA or know the name to search. Plus for my oldest two who
are in school, this is a great homework station. From the beginning I loved the idea of a triple desk
for our three kids, so I found this beauty at Ikea-I love the warm walnut top and sturdy, industrial
legs. I’m also wife to Ben (who owns a remodeling company-you can see how this is a useful skill
for his designer wife!) and proud mama of three bear cubs. Honest to goodness I took three wall
paint colors that I already owned and mixed them together for a custom color. I painted it a soft
white color, and that became the feature wall of the space. These are seersucker duvets from the
Target Pillowfort line. So smart with the storage and is such a transformation. My oldest is in the
second grade and up until this point has had very little homework. I also painted some existing
frames black and popped in a photo of each kiddo over their spot. I love the color scheme too, and I
am usually a color person. Mine is set on legs (called the Lerberg) but you can also probably mount it
to the wall with the correct hardware-I would love to see it when it’s finished. With every project I
learn something new and I’m bringing you all along as I go.
Anyone who knows me knows my absolute weakness for anything monogrammed. If your child
struggles with silence, music from a radio or MP3 player is helpful. I gave the walls a coat of white
paint, brought in a new rug and then added the items I mention above. First of all, I wanted this
space to be budget-friendly, so it helped cut down on costs to do a table-like desk. These pass trough
spaces can so easily get over looked but this is a great use for the space. So smart with the storage
and is such a transformation. I just checked out yours-it is gorgeous, what a change, I hope you guys
are LOVING your new space. I was happy with how it turned out and I loved doing ORC-I’m so
doing it again. I have had this crazy obsession with the swiss cross pattern lately (if you are one of
my clients you might have seen it pop into your designs!), but I couldn’t find the perfect rug at the
right price for my space. From the desks that only have room for one and fit into the corner of a
bedroom, to large tables that seat three and are in the middle of the main living space, there are so
many great options. The action you just performed triggered the security solution. We also have a
nearby “craft closet” for their supplies (believe me, that NEEDS to be behind closed doors, I may not
open those doors if you come to my house to visit!). Read More: Teaching Kids Online Safety Help

For this room, I actually used some inexpensive Target duvets and used clip rings to secure them to
the curtain rod. As long as it’s in line with teacher requirements, having fun will keep motivation up.
For more information, see my full disclosure and privacy policy. You will want to keep extra paper,
pencils, and colored pencils nearby. If you don’t mind me asking, where did you get the chairs. That
mural is just fab, and the Perfect sPace for little minds to learn and grow. Kristin, from Postbox
Designs, created this area for her three kiddos to sit down and do their homework. Then little
elements like our industrial chairs with Periodic Table inspired monogram pillows also add a school
vibe to the space. I have done this before with twin sized duvets, but since this was such a large
slider door, I actually used queen sized ones. I love it! Makes me want to pull out a chair and take
out a book and get to work. In fact, with the Ikea version, you don’t even screw in the legs, the top
just rests on them. I don’t recommend television as it can become a distraction. The clips (and the
height you hang your curtain rod) allow you some wiggle room with the length of your curtains.
I do not accept guest posts of any kind at this time. No excuses for fighting over whose chair is
whose. I painted it a soft white color, and that became the feature wall of the space. Instead I chose
two industrial wire baskets for simple, accessible storage. Those monogrammed pillows are gorgeous
and that DIY rug. I bet your kids are extra motivated to do homework now. Bummer, I wanted to see
a shot of the craft room:). We added in some fun, inexpensive decor like wire baskets for holding
supplies and the kids went bananas for our gold bulldog tape dispenser. As long as it’s in line with
teacher requirements, having fun will keep motivation up. Don’t let this cutie pie fool you though,
she’s the one who is going to use that red marker on the walls one day. I got the little sheep skin rugs
they sell at Ikea and placed them over the seat area. If you are building it yourself and are using a
heavy piece of wood I think adding in an extra middle support is NEVER a bad idea. It is far away
from the main house areas to give them some quiet, but close enough that I can stop by and help
them. For more information, see my full disclosure and privacy policy. For more information, see my

“someday” project to swap out. In fact, with the Ikea version, you don’t even screw in the legs, the
top just rests on them. I searched the website, but only found smaller ones. Should I see if I can wall
mount this at counter height instead. I do not accept guest posts of any kind at this time. It is a pretty
easy job for an electrician (I did the same type of thing at my last house too!). These are seersucker
duvets from the Target Pillowfort line. Be careful about chastising your child when they struggle. I
don’t recommend television as it can become a distraction. I hope that helps! Unless you are super
savvy I would hire out a pro. Other children will prefer to do homework right away so they can
watch a show on television. There are several actions that could trigger this block including
submitting a certain word or phrase, a SQL command or malformed data. We didn’t have any lights
on the wall before, so he had to pull all new wires for them. The colors, the style and all the great
accessories. And because some kids don’t learn best at a desk, we added this beanbag chair (with a
buddy, Mr. Bear to snuggle). It can be a mini reading spot or a place to take a break for awhile.
I have all the freebies in my FREE RESOURCE LIBRARY for just about every room of your house.
So we don’t really have a “homework station” or area where she sits on the regular to do
schoolwork. If you are already a member you can find it all right HERE (just use your password).
Let’s be honest, after a full day of work, you don’t want to come home and work on a 500-word
book report. I love the table and chairs, the pillows and photos. We didn’t have any lights on the wall
before, so he had to pull all new wires for them. I’m Kristin, an interior designer, and owner of
Postbox Designs, an E-Design company working for clients all over the country. Not only is this a
colorful wall, but it’s also the perfect way to feature artwork as it comes home from school. And
don’t forget to follow me on Instagram for even more. Cool crayons, markers, or colorful pens will
help them enjoy homework. If you missed the first five weeks, get caught up on all of the behind-

used the space so well, the details are so good. Sometimes a project or assignments take longer than
expected. I’m happy with how the rug turned out-I think it will be fairly indestructible with my three
little ones.

snatched them up and painted them black. I do not accept guest posts of any kind at this time. It
looks amazing! I need something just like this for my house. For more information, see my full

floors, and updated the lighting. We also swapped out our outdated track lights for this little gem of
a ceiling light fixture. Kristin, from Postbox Designs, created this area for her three kiddos to sit

homework space for my kids. If not, consider setting up a desk with the family computer. It’s
removable so totally renter friendly and it’s the centerpiece of this makeover. I featured it today on
my favorite Kid’s spaces from the ORC. I hope that helps! Unless you are super savvy I would hire
out a pro. Some children will float back and forth, depending on their own assignments. Now we
have an out of the way place to let them work on their masterpieces. Whether your kid needs
privacy, or is able to concentrate while sharing a space, there is a desk in this roundup that will work
for them. A seat at the kitchen or dining room table is plenty.
