remain same?

c) Does back pressure ratio increase, decrease
or remain same?
d) Heat rejection increase, decrease or remain
same?
01(b). A jet of water having velocity 25m/s and
diameter of the stream is 200mm hits a flat
plate perpendicularly and water splashing out
parallel to the plate. Find force exerted on the
plate.
02. A machining material has a yield strength
of 500MPa and ultimate strength 560MPa. The
material is subjected to a load where stress and
strain are proportional and strain is 0.1% and
E=200GPa. Determine-
a) Shear stress using maximum shear stress
theory
b) Shear stress using distortion energy theory
c) Stress developed when elongation is 0.1%
d) Strain energy of the material at proportional
limit
03. Both side fixed beam, deflection is given,
20 mm, width b, thickness h. If a force is
applied in the midpoint of the beam, then if the
width and thickness become twice then what
will be the deflection if other parameters
remain same.
04. Draw sectional view of this object. Section
line should pass through center hole so that it
bisects the object.
