INTRODATION
Zomato is one of the most comprehensive and user-friendly apps for finding
nearby restaurants and cafés to dine in or to order food online. It also gives
menus, reviews, and ratings to acquire factual information on eateries.
Users can use this information to place orders and enjoy delectable food in the
comfort of their own homes. Zomato offers timely delivery to customer's
doorstep, a joy for foodies. Customers no longer have to wait in restaurants for
hours.
Zomato is one of the most popular online food delivery systems, with users in
nearly 22 countries. On the other hand, Restaurant owners can boost their
internet presence by registering with the Zomato app.

 History of Zomato

Zomato, founded in 2008 by Deepinder Goyal and Pankaj Chaddah in India,


began as Foodie Bay, a restaurant discovery and review platform. It later
rebranded as Zomato in 2010. The company initially focused on providing
restaurant information and user-generated reviews.
Over the years, Zomato expanded its services to include online food delivery
and table reservations. It grew rapidly, both in India and internationally, through
acquisitions and partnerships. Zomato faced competition from other food
delivery platforms like Swiggy in India.
In July 2021, Zomato made headlines by becoming the first food delivery
platform in India to go public with an IPO. This marked a significant milestone
in its journey. Zomato continues to evolve and expand its services, including
venturing into grocery delivery and other related sectors .

RESEARCH AREA

Shirpur is a city and taluka in Dhule district of Nashik Division, Maharashtra. It


is located on National Highway 3, which runs from Agra in Uttar Pradesh to
Mumbai, Maharashtra. The Arunavati River and Tapi river flows through the
city. Shirpur is 50 km from the city of Dhule. It houses Asia's largest and India's
first gold refinery. NarseeMonjee Institute of Management Studies has a campus
in Shirpur.[1] Ahead of Shirpur there is a small defence airport at Village Tande.
The major occupation of the people is agriculture with cotton as the major
product. The city has on Cotton meel, Gold Refinery (Asia's largest), Sugar
Factory and Paper Mill. Shirpur has one seat in the legislative assembly of
Maharashtra.
Subhas Colony is the Largest and the Biggest and the first colony established in
Shirpur in the early 1960s where in the later 1990s it was divided into Adarsh
Nagar. It is named after Great freedom fighter of India Subhash nagar
