Press it again, and the power will be tured off. Make a selec- tion in accordance withthe cartridge to be used. MM... Connect to this terminal when using a MM typo cartridge. MC .... Connect to this terminal when using a MC type cartridge. When using a step-up transformer or head am: pier, connect to the MM terminal, even when Using a MC type cartridge ‘A short pin is inserted to this terminal before shipment ‘rom he factory. Tris terminal connects the CD player, tuner, etc. Remote Control Jacks The remote control jacks are used to connect ONKYO products bearing the "I mark via the accessory re- mote control cable. When this unit is connected with ONKYO CD players or cassotto docks bearing tho Fat” mark, it can also be controlled by the remote contro! transmitter RC-285S. (Refer to page 7.) Balance Input Terminal (BALANCED CD/LINE) This terminal connects devices with balance output, such, asthe CD player. Unbalance Output Terminal (OUTPUT UNBALANCED NORWINV) NORM ...Outputs the same phase signal in response to the input signal Outputs the reverse phase signal in response to the input signal The output impedance is 10002, Normally itis connected tothe ampitier by using the NORM side, iv Balance Output Terminal (OUTPUT BALANCED NORM/NV) The output impedance is 2000. As far as connecting sequences concerned, it doesn't matter whether the cable is connected from the P-3B8F to tuner or to the cassette tape deck or to the compact disc player. The remote contro transmitter is operated by facing it lowards the remote Control sensor of the P-388F. NoTe:__ - Remote control operation is not possible when only the remote control cable is connected.
