The Gold filter is not necessary to install. It has been
noticed in the field that the gold filter reduced the
image contrast. Always measure HVL to confirm that it
is 2.9mm at 80kv ( FDA )
Connect CN15 from SGIM PCB to TV7-TV2 on Fluoro 2002 PCB. In B-40 option page,

SA-60 Connection
The SA-60 comes prewired from the factory for the 1.5MHU x-ray tube. Therefore before
power up the SA-60, the proper wiring for each x-ray tube must be performed first. Otherwise,
x-ray tube will be damaged!!!!!!!

After programming, always check the content if the programming has been performed cor-
rectly. Set the dipswitch sw2 and sw3 to display mode using the flow chart on previous page
and the table below as a guide.
Note: SA-60 shipping second quarter of 2009, will have a new CPU pcb (NEXSH) that allows
programming by PC instead of dip switches progamming !!

Unused cable
• The B-40 accepts 3 phases voltage ranging from 380 to 480V without using auto XAT-2H
transformer. Always match T1 and T2 transformers according to the line voltage.
Ex: if the line voltage is 380V, tap T1 and T2 to -200 and +180 to get a total of 380V.
• We recommend disconnecting X-ray high voltage portion when power up for the first
time during installation. T his allows you to check basic function without generating
high voltage to the inverter circuit of the generator and doesn’t heat filament to the X-Ray
tube. To do so:
-Disconnect J2 (MGL) on terminal 2002 pcb
-Disconnect JS1 cable on UD cont 2002 pcb
-Disconnect J2 on mA power 2002 pcb
-Set sw4-4= on on UD cont 2002 pcb
After Power ON, always check to confirm that L0, L100 of the B-40 should be 100V (+/- 5V) AC.
The B-40 is always boot up in Japanese language during installation. You need to initialize it to
English language and replace 3 Japanese labels to English labels on the Console. Lots of
people can’t locate English labels: they are attached in a small bag of the B-40 console

The System Preset CD (which includes B-40 system configuration setting (initial data), APRs for
DR fluoro , Table Bucky APRs, Wall Bucky APRs and General Radiography APRs. Please load
the system preset data from CD to the B-40 in order to save a few days of setup. Refer to B-40
installation manual, chapter 9 section 9.22. Use command name: BKUP. Select 3 to upload ->
Select File -> transfer->Xmodem -> send. From Select File, the system has a time out of about 15
sec to do this process; otherwise it will time out and won’t upload. If it happen, you need to reset
the B-40, and redo the upload again

Let’s explain how to do Method#2: Go to FVR->Select small filament->assign 2mA, 3mA, 6mA, 8mA, 10mA and 12mA
SonialVision Versa Installation Guide Page 40
• At 2mA, calibrate the FVR at 40KV and 60KV. You don’t need to calibrate the whole line ( just 40kv and 60kv
for 2mA station) interpolate between 40KV and 60KV. I use the above example: (3.98+3.93)/2= 3.96. Write
3.955 on a paper
• At 3mA, Calibrate the FVR at 60KV point.. Write your calibrated result on a paper. In this example is it 3.96
• At 6mA, calibrate the FVR at 100KV and 125KV. Then interpolate the data between the two points.
And so on for 8mA, 10mA and 12mA.
Pulse Fluoro is a Pulse waveform (ON, OFF, ON etc..), the Generator can display only Average value of the pulse
waveform.
How the Average value is is calculated from a pulse wave form for 30 F/S.
Go to service mode->setup->Fluo
On line 03, select edit and add the pulse fluoro mode as shown below. Then rename it from BONE N to
PULSE B.

Tips:
ο Always remove Aluminum shipping plate from II during installation.
When installing Mu Metal shield in front of the II, make sure that the Mu Metal shield doesn’t get in con-
tact with the II glass. when table is tilting, the MU metal shield may get in contact with the II which causes
the image to be fuzzy

Symptoms:
IBS fluoroscopy balance point is not stabilized after DR radiography
IBS fluoroscopy balance point is not stabilized after changing I.I. field size.
DR radiography image brightness is not stabilized.
DR radiography image brightness after Pulse Fluoroscopy is different from the brightness after
DC fluoroscopy.
Procedure:
1)Power OFF the system.
2)Remove the cover of DAR-8000i Camera head. Confirm the potentiometer R19 on top board in the
Camera head as shown.
3)Adjust R19 to get approximately 80 ohm (from 80 ohm to 100 ohm) between pin No.1 and pin No.3
of R19. ( pin No.1 and pin No.2 are shorted ) (R19 value is max. 200 ohm 30 turns)
Note) If this value is too much, Iris may hunting, Fluoroscopy IBS KV value may hunting.
SonialVision Versa Installation Guide Page 54
Note:
When you execute DR Radiography Iris adjustment by [Manual Setting], you should make Radiography after
Fluoroscopy, and check window level.
When you execute Fluoroscopy Iris Adjustment by [Manual Setting], you should make Fluoroscopy after Radiog-
raphy, and check Fluoroscopy kV.
When you execute Pulse Fluoroscopy Iris Adjustment by using [System Manual] function, system does not set
value for all pulse rates at once. You should set same value as “Iris Control Level” of 30f/s at other pulse
rate by [Manual Setting]. When you use [Manual Setting] mode, after finishing one pulse rate setting you
should exit from the mode, and re-enter to the mode for next pulse rate setting.

Digital Tomo uses II with Dar-8000i to acquire an image where as conventional Tomo uses Cassette
or Canon DR to get an image.
Digital Tomo uses the same Technique as Spot/SerialTechnique (XDR) so it is not necessary to cre-
ate an extra technique. All we need is to add extra APR for digital Tomo under XDR technique.
Calibrate the iris until you see white dots about 100 dots
The height adjustment is done by connecting the PC to ZS-100IR cabinet . Refer to Z-100IR installation
manual
