 Pharrell Lanscilo Williams is an American record producer, rapper, singer,
songwriter, and fashion designer. He was born in Virginia Beach on April 5, 1973.
His family has a long history in Virginia and North Carolina. He is the oldest of the
three sons of teacher Carolyn and handyman Pharoah Williams.

Music was a huge part of Pharrell’s life from a very young age. He was always
passionate about music, so much that he played in the school band at his high
school Princess Anne High School in Virginia.

When he was 12 years old went to a band camp and met Chad Hugo. Together,
they formed the music band The Neptunes, Pharrell played the keyboard and
drums and Chad played the Saxophone.

When Pharrell released 'Happy,' written and produced by himself, the world fell
in love with it. Pharrell was absolutely unstoppable.
