A bicycle, short for "bicycle", is a human-powered vehicle with

two wheels attached to the frame, one behind the other. It


usually consists of a frame, handlebars, push pedals, a driver
and wheels with tires for motion.

Bicycles come in different types and designs, each suitable for


different purposes and terrain. Some common types of bikes
are:

Road bikes: Designed to be ridden on paved roads, road bikes


are lightweight and have narrow tires, drop handlebars and a
more aerodynamic frame for speed and efficiency.

Mountain bikes: Built for off-road trails and rough terrain ,


mountain bikes have wide rims. tires, shock absorption system
and durable frames.

Hybrid bikes: Hybrid bikes, which combine the characteristics


of road and mountain bikes, are versatile and suitable. e.g.
various riding conditions, including commuting, recreational
cycling, and mild off-road trails.

City bikes or City bikes: City bikes designed for urban


commuting and commuting usually have a more upright riding
position, fenders, racks, and lights. for practicality and
comfort.

Cruiser bikes: Known for their relaxed riding position, wide


handlebars and comfortable seats, cruiser bikes are ideal for
free riding on flat terrain such as boardwalks.

Folding bikes: compact and portable folding bikes. be folded


for storage and transport, making them convenient for
commuters and tourists alike.

Bicycles are an efficient, environmentally friendly and healthy


means of transportation and leisure. Millions of people around
the world use them for commuting, training, recreation and
competition such as road racing, mountain biking and BMX
riding.
