Tools

There are many tools in the Tools group.

Different tools are used in paint to perform different functions.
A tool is selected by clicking the left mouse button in the desired
icon.
5. Pencil Tool
It is used for drawing free hand.
It is used in the same way that you would use a real pencil to draw.
Eraser tool
It is used for erasing any part of a picture.

 Fill with colour tool

It is used for filling a selected colour in any closed shape that
has already been drawn.
 Magnifier tool
 It is used to see a drawing in a larger size.
Brushes
It is similar to the line tool. You can use the brushes tool to draw
lines that are different in appearance.
You can choose brushes of different textures from the options given
to draw free-form and curving lines that have different effects.
Shapes
In paint, different shapes are available in the Shapes group of the
Home tab.
Here, you can select different shapes such as lines, ovals, rectangles,
ellipses, triangles, lightning bolt, and many more for drawing in the
Drawing Area.
1. Line tool
It is used for drawing straight lines in paint.

2. Rectangle tool
Rectangle tool is used for drawing rectangles and squares.
3. Oval tool
It is used for drawing circles and ovals.
1. You can choose the thickness of the line forming the circle/oval
from the Size drop-down list and its colour from the Colours
palette in the Home tab.
How to create a new picture in paint.
 Click on the Paint button. A drop-down list appears.
 Click on the New option. Your new Drawing Area is ready
for use.

How to save a picture in paint.

You can always save the pictures drawn in paint.
1. Click on the Paint button. A drop-down list appears.
2. Select Save option. A new window called Save As dialog box
appears.
3. Type the file name of your choice in the File name: box. If no
file name is given, it takes the name Untitled by default.
4. Click on the Save button.
How to open a saved picture in paint
1. Click the Paint button. A drop-down list appears.
2. Click the Open option. The Open dialog box appears.
3. Select the file name from the list.
4. Click on the Open button.
How to close paint
After completing your drawing, close the Paint program.
1. Click on the Paint button. A drop-down list appears.
2. Click the Exit option. m
