CHAPTER I
Introduction
TOPIC: Define and elaborate the researcher’s topic in paragraph form, give example that
will clarify your chosen subject matter.
IMPORTANCE: Explain the relevance of the topic in the everyday life of the individuals
that will be benefiting from your research.
REASONS FOR CHOOSING YOUR TOPIC: Justify researcher’s desire in choosing the
topic by emphasizing on the motivation that led them to choosing the topic.
PURPOSE: To end the introduction use another paragraph to discuss the objectives of the
research.
Consists of statement on how the researcher was led in conducting the study. Describe the
problem as clearly as possible. Researcher may quote from literatures related to the topic.
This study aims to determine (research problem/title). Specific questions that the
researcher aims to answer are as follows; (arrange questions in order of importance)
Theoretical Framework
This is the foundation of the research study. The researcher must look for at least one
reliable theory that will serve as the backbone of the research and support for the investigation
and observation of the problem being researched. This theory must be aligned to what the
researcher is trying to find out in the study.
Examples; (Cognitive Learning Theories, Behaviorism Theories, Constructivism
Theories, Humanism Theories, and Connectivism Theories).

Definition of Terms
This part of the research is a dictionary where terms should be defined operationally.
Meaning, the words should be described in the way the researcher used it in the research paper.
Example:
Control Group – the specific group separated from the rest of the research
Guardian – A person who is authorized under applicable state or local law to give permission on
behalf of a child for general care.
NHS - Nagpayong High School, the locale of the study
Etc
NOTE: Arrange the terms used in the research paper in alphabetical order.
CHAPTER II
Related Literature
Before starting the review in this chapter, write a short introduction about the collected
literatures and its function to this research paper.
Related literature provides an overview of previous researches on knowledge sharing. It
introduces the basis for the research paper that contains the main focus of the researcher’s study
described in this research paper.
This chapter may consist of simply a summary of main points from journals, articles,
previous researches, electronic sources, etc. It usually has an organizational pattern that are
arranged in sub-topic often within specific conceptual categories. Especially if your topic is
broad, like in university performance, it makes sense to break down your discussion by topics.
Student Performance
Discuss in this part the literatures that the researcher gathered about student’s
performance related to you research paper.
EXAMPLE:
Student performance in a case method course may be assessed along a variety of
dimensions including class participation, individual written work on papers and exams, and
group activities such as projects and presentations. (Bean & Peterson, 2004)
Computer literacy is the capability of using electronic gadgets and related similar
technologies effectively and efficiently. Tan (2022)
According to Lamas (2015) The academic performance involves factors such as the
intellectual level, personality, motivation, skills, interests, study habits, self-esteem or the
teacher-student relationship.
NOTE: Collect at least minimum of 7 related literature per subtopic to discuss in the
research paper. This will help in proving the fact stated in the paper.
After collecting related literatures, write a conclusion or summary to weave the gathered
data and make it whole and anchored to the research paper.

Chapter 3 consists of

Clearly describe in details the participants, the data gathering materials (checklists,
questionnaires, surveys, etc.) and the procedure of gathering the research data.
STEP 1:
To analyze statistical data, the researcher should first specify the hypothesis and use the
appropriate data gathering materials

For statistical analysis, it’s important to consider the level of measurement of your

Assuming that there is already data gathered and already been explained and visualized,
describe how the hypothesis will be accepted or rejected.
STEP 5:
Conclude and summarize Chapter III
NOTE: Always use future tense in writing Chapter 3 research proposal. Use third person
point of view.
