The Effects Of Our Praise & Thanksgiving

God has given us a word that the first 3 months of the year are going to be supernatural
One of the keys to unlock this promise is praise and thanksgiving

Jeremiah 30:19
19 Then out of them shall proceed thanksgiving
And the voice of those who make merry;
I will multiply them, and they shall not diminish;
I will also glorify them, and they shall not be small.

• Thanksgiving comes out of us

• Thanksgivng is voice activated
• Thanksgiving produces increase and multiplication
• Thanksgiving releases glory

The Effects Of Our Praise: Read 2 Chronicles 20:13-25

The Threat
2 Chronicles 20:2 NKJV
“Then there came some that told Jehoshaphat, saying, There cometh a great multitude against thee from
beyond the sea on this side Syria; and, behold, they be in Hazazontamar, which is Engedi.”

• Jehoshaphat was faced with a major obstacle that could destroy and end his reign. 3 Kings with
multitudes of troops sought to destroy him and his kingdom. The odds were truly against him.
• Like Jehoshaphat, we often face threats or obstacles that seem insurmountable. But what will make
the difference is how we respond to the challenges. Life is 20% event and 80% response.

The Appropriate Response

2 Chronicles 20:17-22 NKJV
Ye shall not need to fight in this battle: set yourselves, stand ye still, and see the salvation of the Lord with

you, O Judah and Jerusalem: fear not, nor be dismayed; tomorrow go out against them: for the Lord will be
with you. And Jehoshaphat bowed his head with his face to the ground: and all Judah and the inhabitants

of Jerusalem fell before the Lord, worshipping the Lord. And the Levites, of the children of the Kohathites,

and of the children of the Korhites, stood up to praise the Lord God of Israel with a loud voice on high.
And when he had consulted with the people, he appointed singers unto the Lord, and that should praise

the beauty of holiness, as they went out before the army, and to say, Praise the Lord; for his mercy
endureth for ever.

• When the King went to seek the Lord for a response to the obstacle, God gave him Praise &
Thanksgiving as his battle strategy.
• It will take great courage to choose praise and thanksgiving in the face of a great threat
• Praise and thanksgiving was God’s choice battle strategy
• Praise takes your eyes off the obstacle and focuses you on the almighty God.

Psalm 8:2 ((NIV)

Through the praise of children and infants, you have established a stronghold against your enemies,
to silence the foe and the avenger.

2 Chronicles 20:22 NKJV
And when they began to sing and to praise, the Lord set ambushments against the children of Ammon,

Moab, and mount Seir, which were come against Judah; and they were smitten. For the children of Ammon

and Moab stood up against the inhabitants of mount Seir, utterly to slay and destroy them: and when they
had made an end of the inhabitants of Seir, every one helped to destroy another. And when Judah came

toward the watch tower in the wilderness, they looked unto the multitude, and, behold, they were dead
bodies fallen to the earth, and none escaped. And when Jehoshaphat and his people came to take away

the spoil of them, they found among them in abundance both riches with the dead bodies, and precious
jewels, which they stripped off for themselves, more than they could carry away: and they were three days
in gathering of the spoil, it was so much.

• Even with the promise of victory, nothing happened until they began to sing and to praise
• Your activated praise empowers the angel armies to fight your battles for you
• Praise activates the promises of God
• Praise unleashes surprise attacks on your enemies without much of your involvement
• Praise causes confusion in the camp of satan!
• Praise unlocks abundance. In one praise experience, the Israelites gathered wealth for 3 days (72
hours) non-stop. More than they could carry!

Whatever your obstacle, battle or trouble, TURN UP YOUR PRAISE. Your Praise
will unleash God’s Victory, Abundance, and GLORY.
