1. Describe the different types of research and clearly point out the difference between experimental work
and a scientific work. (4 marks)

2. What are the various criteria to be satisfied by scientific research? (4 marks)

3. Explain the technique involved in defining a problem. (4 marks)

4. Describe some of the research designs used in the experimental research study. (4 marks)

5. Explain the significance of the research report and narrate the various steps involved in writing such a
report. (4 marks)

(a) Explain the concept of descriptive research and analytical research (4 marks)

(b) Discuss the difference between applied research and fundamental research (4 marks)
