SULZERTEX7/L. G 6200. Adjustment Instructions Selvedge and auxiliary selvedge equipment Tension spring f Brake band Feeling lover ‘Adjusting nut Brake spring 11. Yarn tensioner Function This equipment permits smooth unwinding from two different types of yarn package. The tension of the leno and auxiliary selvedge ends is controlled by spring tension from full to empty spool Auxiliary selvedge The auxiliary selvedge spool is mounted on the spool holder. The braking force initially set at the suspen: sion point is regulated with tension spring 3, brake band 4 and feeling lever § in such a way that the ten- sion of the auxiliary selvedge ends remains uniform from full to empty spool Leno The leno spool is mounted on the leno spool holder above the auxiliary selvedge spool The braking force is adjusted by turing adjusting nut 8 until brake spring 9 is just touching the leno spool, As the spool diameter diminishes, the spring pressure eases off and the leno end is drawn off with Uniform tension. Unwelcome tension peaks which could occur at shed change are cushioned by yarn tensioner 11. When adjusting the yarn tensioner, take care that the leno end does no: become slack when the yarn tensioner is fully extended. 6200 © 20.4.93 717.1R Page 1 SULZERTEX7/L. G 6200____ Changing the auxi ry selvedge spool Cut off the remaining auxiliary selvedge ends close to the auxiliary selvedge spool, so that the auxliary sel- vedge ends only have to be knotted on and do not have to be drawn in enew. Detach brake band 4 and tilt feeling lever § away. When loading a new leno spool, hold brake spring 9 down until the spo! is properly seated on spool hol- der 17. This prevents the upper yarn coils from get- ting damaged Thread the eno end into the eyelet of the brake spring from above.
