The Incas were a powerful ancient civilization in

South America, known for their advanced culture,


engineering marvels like Machu Picchu, and worship
of the sun god. They ruled the Andean region from
the 15th to the 16th century before falling to the
Spanish conquest.

(the earth mother), and Viracocha
(the creator god). These deities

important aspects of Inca society.

The Incas built impressive monuments
throughout their empire, showcasing their
advanced engineering and architectural skills.
One of the most famous is Machu Picchu, a
stunning mountain citadel that served as a royal
residence or religious site. Other notable
monuments include Sacsayhuamán, an
