Resources
On this day, dated May 12 (Friday), we interviewed a total of 25
teachers about learning resources and assessment tools they are using in
teaching values education. Through this interview, we realized that
teachers in this particular subject have their own experiences, practices,
and strategies in teaching that can be shared with us (future educators).
We realize that assessment tools play a crucial role in determining
the progress of learners. Teachers use different types of assessments
such as exams, quizzes, projects, and presentations, to gauge the level of
knowledge and understanding of learners. However, these assessment
tools must align with the learning objectives and the values being taught.
Otherwise, the assessment tool may not provide an accurate
representation of the learner's progress.
Learning resources used by Values Education teachers should be
relevant and appropriate for the age and level of the learners. The
resources should also be engaging and thought-provoking to promote
critical thinking and encourage learners to reflect on their values and
beliefs. Teachers can use various resources such as books, videos, and
interactive activities to achieve this goal.
In conclusion, assessment tools and learning resources play a vital
role in the learning process in Values Education. It is crucial for Values
Education teachers to have access to a range of relevant and
appropriate assessment tools and learning resources to facilitate
effective learning outcomes. Additionally, teachers must ensure that the
assessment tools and learning resources align with the learning
objectives and the values being taught to ensure that learners are well-
equipped with the necessary values and ethics to succeed in life
