Assessment Tool Description FOR Learning Learning
For the duration of the unit the teacher will pay
close attention to the students and their abilities.
Assistance will be offered to students who may
benefit and who may lack understanding of the

Teacher observation could also lead to
summative assessment as the teacher will also
keep records of which students participate.
While instructions are being explained, or
once students have had an opportunity to
explore an outcome, students will be given a
Thumbs/ Four Corners brief assessment of their understanding. This FOR
will be done by giving a thumbs up or down
or running to a corner of the room that shows
their understanding of a topic.
The teacher will be keeping a record of
students who are involved and try their best
Student Involvement within gym classes. As long as students are OF
willing to participate and try their best they
will do well in this gym unit.
To assess technical elements of soccer students
will be assessed on their ability to dribble the
Dribbling ball during the final class of the soccer unit. OF
They will be assessed on how well they adhere
to the tips offered in previous classes.
To assess technical elements of soccer students

for the time given is needed.
Probable solutions
- Only assessing students is one of the main skills of
shooting, dribbling or passing.
- For participation, students should start at 100% and
only lose marks if they are actively not participating.
