Dear New and Future Educators,

We invite you to be a part of the Global Teacher Education Exchange program (GTEE)! The GTEE
is implemented by Missouri State University’s College of Education and is supported by the J.
Christopher Stevens Virtual Exchange Initiative (JCSVEI). JCSVEI is a U.S. Department of State’s
Bureau of Educational and Cultural Affairs program administered by the Aspen Institute.

Our free virtual exchange program promotes global understanding in education, and thus far,
we have reached more than 1000 new and future teachers in Morocco, Libya, and the United
States.

By participating in this program, you will:

• Practice effective methods in teaching for global understanding.
• Enhance your cultural awareness and strengthen your intercultural communication skills.
• Become part of prestigious alumni networks, including the U.S. Department of State Exchange
Alumni, the Stevens Initiative, and the Global Education Lab at Missouri State University. (These
provide additional opportunities, including grants and awards.)

When: Each group will meet on the following days and times. Before applying, please ask your
teacher trainer if you should register for a specific group.

Monday 1. April 15, 22, & 29

Tuesday. April 16, 23, & 30

Applications: Applications will take about 5 minutes to complete. Please apply by April 10th at

Groups will be closed to registration when they are full.

Where: We will meet through a Zoom link that will be emailed to you.
Earn: Participants who attend all three sessions will earn a certificate of participation from the
Global Teacher Education Exchange at Missouri State University’s College of Education and will
be welcomed to join alumni groups.
