At the end of the lesson the pupils are expected to:

b. Compose opinion in a sentence
c. Discuss fact and opinion

Fact- refers to something true, something really


existing or happening. Facts may include specific
information about a person, place or thing.
 A fact is the statement that is true and can
be proven.

Example:

Opinion- an opinion is a statement that cannot be


proven.
 Refers to a person belief or judgement of
something, which may or may not base on
facts or evidences.
 An opinion what a person thinks or feels.
Example:
 Carrot cake are disgusting.
 She thinks her friend writes poetry well.
 Monday is the best day of the week.
 Reading is a boring activity. (The pupils are participated)
 Dogs are cuter than cats.
Distinguishing Facts from Opinion.
Facts are Objective that can be verified by reliable
source.
Fact can be verified it has evidence to support.
Fact is Unbiased they do not support only one
perspective.

While Opinion are Subjective a statement that


may or may not be entirely true.
Opinion cannot be verified, what stated may
differ across sources of information.
Opinion is biased opinion might be written to
persuade the reader to believe in what he or she is
saying.
