Important Information
Thank you for using the scale which is developed and produced by Shanghai Teraoka Co.
Ltd.
In order to use it properly and avoid the trouble by incorrect operation, please make sure to
read the following information before you power it on.

Please pay attention to the items below!

Check the power supply with the power specification on the nameplate.
According to the ordinary requirement of electric security, please confirm proper and
well grounded power.
Abnormal weight and bumpiness on the platform will result in damage.
Avoid the cleanout with watery wiping cloth or steeping the scale in water for
cleaning.
Please don’t power on the scale immediately when move it to high-temperature and
humidity condition from low-temperature condition or it will induce the breakout of
the scale because of the vapor coagulation.
The terminal head and the storage battery are out of repair, please operate and
maintain them properly according to the operation manual and the suggestion the
maintenance man gives you.

Indicators Meaning

ZERO On when zero point is adjusted and weight is stable

NET On when tare subtraction is performed

FIX T On when tare weight is fixed.

FIX P On when PLU or unit price is fixed

P On when pre-pack mode is chosen; indicate capital letter is use in PLU

programming mode.

Indicators Meaning
M On when manual mode is chosen

V1 ~ V4 On when vendor transaction entries (department entry or PLU entry) are

performed

BATT On when Battery is weak and needs to charge (only for rechargeable battery

type)

CHARGE On when Battery is charging (only for rechargeable battery type)

R On when in R (normal operation) mode

X On when in X (read report) mode

S On when in S (programmable item setting) mode

Z On when in Z (reset report and system maintenance) mode

2.4.2. Notes On Receipt Paper

z Paper Dimension Size: max.58±0.5mm X Ø80mm Thickness: max. 0.0125 mm.

z Paper with folds, wrinkles, tears, perforation or holes should not be used.

z Paper should be pulled out slowly and straightforwardly.

z Unused paper should be stored so as to avoid impact, friction, light and oil, and should be kept

under adequate temperature and humidity conditions.

then press Mode Select key again

3.1.3. General Explanation


As Department, Main Group and PLU are connected as shown below; it will be useful to
program them according to the following order, when using some applications such as Report
function and Tax function.

* Department Files
DEPARTMENT file is the largest category whose items are like MEAT, FISH, VEGETABLE,
DELICATESSEN, etc.

* MAIN GROUP FILE


MAIN GROUP file is the middle category whose items are like BEEF, PORK, and CHICKEN.
Since Tax No. (Tax type, tax rate) is linked to Main group, a tax
number should be selected in MAIN GROUP file if tax function is

3.4.1. Messages on the display


In PLU Programming, Total Price display shows the following messages for every parameter
for your reference.

3.14. Volume Discount & Sales Price Print Function

Volume Discount function is used to set up special price during a sales period. Shop manager may program the
discount price during a sales period, and the Shop manager can avoid sales loss caused by not returning the
discount price back to the original price even after the sales period.

Shop manager can select a discount type from 5 types of volume discount. The formulas of 5 discount type are
