The term "chasing dream" refers to those who are willing to take a
chance and think that their ambition is more than an idea or a potential.
Dream chasers are aware that they are worthy of pursuing their dreams.
Living a life that is true to ourselves and our priorities is what it means
to chase our dreams. It's a way of life that's free of regrets. We live a life
that motivates people to go out on their respective journeys as well.

2. Which line or lines in the poem do you like best? Why?

“Follow your heart, keep moving forward and always pray hard” are the
lines that caught my attention and I like the best. This because when we follow
our hearts, we learn to trust our intuition. We are more in tune with what our
hearts are telling us to do and what direction they are leading us. Then by keep
moving forward it means that we have to work towards our goal. Lastly,
through prayer, He can bring our life into alignment with his vision and plans
leading us to have a successful life.

3. What does the poem want you to do with every milestone you achieve?
It encourages me to do my best, to follow my heart, to keep moving
forward even though I might experience failure and lastly pray hard. I must
chase my dreams and believe in myself that I can achieve it. I learned to never
doubt myself because I know through my hard work I can overcome the
challenges I will experience along the way.

1. What beliefs, values, and skills have you observed that are helpful in
becoming a successful professional or entrepreneur? Why do you say so?
Honesty, positive attitude, disciplined and focused, has written goals, ,
persistent, open to new ideas and with integrity. This is because these are some
of the fundamental trait to develop in life because it is closely related to
personal development and improvement. Without this, our ability to grow and
develop as a person will be severely restricted, and it will also be the amount of
success, wealth and happiness that we can achieve.

2. Were there common characteristics of the people you interviewed in terms

of their beliefs, attitude, and skills? What are those characteristics?
Yes, all the people that I interview has written goals. By setting goals, we
set targets to strive toward. Goals give us a roadmap to follow. Goals are a
great way to hold ourselves accountable, even if we fail. Setting goals and
working to achieving them helps us define what we truly want in life.
Setting goals also helps us prioritize things.

3. Are there characteristics exclusively possessed by a certain person you

interviewed? What are those characteristics?
Yes, being open to new idea and integrity. Being open-minded is
generally considered a positive quality. It is a necessary ability in order to think
critically and rationally. Also integrity makes us secure and confident in who
we are as a person. Confidence comes from being secure in who you are and
reflecting on that to others.

4. How did you feel while interviewing these people?

I feel proud because of the achievements they accomplish. Also on how
the way they handle their uncertainties in life. I feel motivated to also do my
best and reach my goals in life. Additionally, I am deeply amaze by them
because of their persistency to achieve their dreams and their incredible visions
in life.

5. What characteristics do you have that you believe are similar to those you
interviewed? What do you plan to do about these characteristics?
The characteristics I have that I believe similar to those I interviewed is
having positive attitude. Having a positive attitude allows us to be more
productive at work and around the house. Also a positive attitude helps us cope
more easily with the daily affairs of life. Basically, my plan is self-
improvement and widen more my perspective toward things. I must have
positive attitude toward things in order for me to avoid failures and frustrations.

Choose one Filipino Artist that you know who deserves to be awarded/recognized as
National Artist of the Philippines, and why?

Every artist contributes to the overall wellness, development, and well-being of

our society in a unique and vital way. Undoubtedly each and every artist deserves to be
recognized and appreciated. Art is dynamic, with new trends and styles emerging at a fast
pace. We have our own distinctive way of expressing our thoughts in the way of art in
which I believe it is worthy enough to praise. In my opinion, one of the Filipino artist that
deserves to be awarded/recognized as National Artist of the Philippines is Jerrold Tarog.
He is a film director, screenwriter, producer, editor, composer with awards and
nominations in various disciplines of the filmmaking craft. Basically, he is best known
for directing the award winning films Heneral Luna and Goyo: The Boy General. He has
worked in different genres, from horror to mockumentaries to youth films to drama, and
continues to expand his range. Heneral Luna, his 2015 historical epic, is the highest-
grossing historical film in Philippine cinema history, grossing about P250 million from
its statewide screening run alone. As I finished watching the movie, it reminds me that
we must appreciate and love the freedom that we have presently. It is because a lot of
soldiers died and sacrificed their lives to defend our country and fight for our freedom
during the Filipino-American war. This film depicted what goes on behind the scenes of
politics. Also it is a film that not only entertains but also educates viewers on the Filipino
people's struggle against colonial tyranny. Definitely, General Luna is a figure of
patriotism who fights valiantly for his country's independence from colonization. That is
why I really appreciate this movie since I learned a lot from it regarding our history.
There’s a lot moral lessons in which we can apply it in today’s generation. And that is the
reason why for me Jerrold Tarog deserves that prestigious award. He evidently delivers
and directed well the film in which the historical storytelling was very clear, exciting and
engaging from beginning to end. It is an ultimately entertaining film that exceeds my
expectations. In conclusion, this film serves as a showcase for Philippine cinema's
ongoing progress and development.
