Hello! My name is Mr.

Tencza, I am excited to begin my first year of teaching and look forward to

working with your child. Becoming a teacher has been a long journey and I have learned much along the
way. I have learned how much I enjoy the art of teaching and how much I enjoy those ‘light bulb’
moments that kids have when something clicks. Each day is a new opportunity for growth and a new
opportunity for adventure. Learning can be fun and exciting, and I plan to make my classroom a sunny
place for your child to grow.
Professionally, I worked as a Dialysis Technician for over 14 years but always knew I wanted to be a
teacher. My job took me all over the United States and the Philippines. I grew up in Arizona but came to
Texas in 2007. I stayed in El Paso for seven years until I began traveling as a dialysis technician. I fell in
love with Alaska and stayed there five years until I found my true love down here and asked her to be my
wife.
My classroom will be one filled with encouragement, respect, diligence, and love. I will create a learning
environment where your child feels challenged but also accepted for who they are and what they can
accomplish. I believe in every kid showing up on time to class and giving 100% every day. I will return
work the students have not accomplished well for them to re-work it. We have a respectful classroom
where bullying will not be tolerated and even the quietest voice will be heard.

I have an open-door policy and will do my utmost to be available when needed. Please contact me with

I play guitar and fix things for fun. I don’t follow sports but love a good game, nonetheless.
I have 2 cats named Bandit and Theo along with 2 dogs named Buttercup and Harriet.
