Overview
The E-Waste Recycling Drive, organized by Department of Computer Science called “Green-
Gadget guardians -2024 “aimed to promote environmental sustainability and responsible
waste management by facilitating the safe disposal and recycling of electronic waste (e-
waste). The event encouraged the local community to contribute to reducing electronic
waste and raising awareness about the importance of recycling.

Key Objectives
1)Raise awareness about the environmental impact of improper e-waste disposal.
2)Collect electronic waste from the community for safe recycling.
3)Educate participants about the significance of recycling and proper e-waste disposal
methods.
4)Promote sustainable practices and encourage behavioral change regarding e-waste
management.

Outcome
1)E-Waste Collection: The event successfully collected a significant amount of electronic
waste from the community, diverting it from landfills and facilitating its proper recycling and
disposal.
2)Community Engagement: The event attracted a diverse audience, including individuals,
families, schools, and businesses, fostering community engagement and collaboration in
environmental initiatives.
3)Awareness and Education: Attendees gained valuable insights into the environmental
impact of e-waste and learned practical tips for responsible disposal and recycling. The event
contributed to raising awareness about sustainable practices and fostering a sense of
environment responsibility.

Student Experience Letter
To supplement our findings, we invited students to share their experiences and insights
regarding E-Waste management. Here is a letter encapsulating their perspectives.
Conclusion
The E-Waste Event served as a platform for students to learn, engage, and take action
towards addressing the pressing issue of electronic waste. Through educational workshops,
interactive discussions, hands-on activities, and student presentations, participants gained
valuable insights and were empowered to make a difference in their communities. Moving
forward, it is essential to continue organizing such events and fostering a culture of
sustainability among the youth to create a more environmentally conscious future.
