Camouflage helps a creature blend in so well with its surroundings that you can
hardly spot it. A predator, for example, can be so well camouflaged that it can sneak
up to its prey unnoticed. On the other hand, a prey can be so well hidden by
camouflage that it is not easily detected by its predators. Mimicry, confusion and
distraction are just some forms of camouflage by which animals hide from their
enemies. Do not belittle the usefulness of camouflage, as it may one day help to
save your life too!
