PROFESSIONAL EXPERIENCE
Junior Research Fellow, Department of Science and Technology (Govt. of India), Chennai Oct 2018 - Oct 2019

● Developed game theoretic control algorithm to solve a class of two player Stackelberg difference games with Constraints which
emerges in different economic and engineering situations such as strategies in Power system network, networked control system,
firms strategies in competitive market etc.
● Also developed a python package for the algorithm.

PUBLICATION

Mondal, S. and Reddy, P.V., 2019, June. Linear quadratic Stackelberg difference games with constraints. In 2019 18th European Control
Conference (ECC) (pp. 3408-3413). IEEE.
PROJECTS
Developed a MPC control algorithm for calculating Nash equilibrium for a Constraint difference game May - July, 2018

● Developed and analysed a receding horizon control algorithm (MPC) to calculate Nash equilibrium for a non zero sum Constraint
Difference game.
● Reduced the overall complexity of the algorithm from O(2T ) to O(2r ) . Where T>>r.

Causality analysis with time series data using time domain and frequency domain techniques Sept - Dec, 2017

● Built a vector autoregression (VAR) model for multivariate time series data.
● Conducted a time domain Granger-causality test on the estimated VAR model followed by frequency-domain causality test.
● Used surrogate data analysis method for frequency-domain Granger-causality test.
● Compared both results from time and frequency domain Granger-causality analysis. Implemented all the analysis using R.
Machine Learning - Forecasting mid price in High-Frequency Stock Trading, Big Data Challenge Dec 2018 - Jan 2019

● Analysed Tick Data provided by HSBC to build features for capturing the underlying stock dynamics.
● Built a Random Forest regression model to predict a stock's short-term price movement using Tick Data.
● Finished in Top 6 as Finalists out of 201 teams (Top 3%), Big Data Challenge, conducted by HSBC, Shaastra, 2019.

Performance analysis of deep learning models on MNIST dataset Sept - Nov, 2017

● Analysed classification performance of different deep learning models such as multi-layer perceptron, CNN, RNN, LSTM etc.
● Generated Adversarial examples (i.e inputs to a neural network that result in an incorrect output) for each class.
● Built an autoencoder and sparse autoencoder for MNIST data set and compare it with PCA.

State estimation and online control of Fluidized catalytic cracker (FCC) model Jan 2018

● Obtained the state estimation of the FCC system by implementing Extended Kalman Filter from two different sensor outputs.
● Implemented Model Predictive Control algorithm and analysed performance on the linearized model as given in the paper “State
space predictive control”.
Built multilevel Inverter circuit and analysed fault Sept 2015 - March 2016

● Built multilevel inverter circuit and controlled using Matlab and Arduino.
● Successfully interfaced between Matlab and Arduino platform.
● Also did fault analysis on the inverter.
