CHAPTER 1
INTRODUCTION
1.1 Introduction on OJT
On-the-Job Training (OJT) is a critical component of our educational and professional
development journey. It represents a unique and hands-on learning experience that bridges
the gap between theory and practice, classroom knowledge, and real-world application. OJT
is a powerful method by which individuals, often students or employees, acquire practical
skills, competencies, and insights within a specific workplace setting.
During OJT, participants have the opportunity to work directly within their chosen field or
industry, gaining valuable exposure to the tasks, challenges, and responsibilities they will
encounter in their future careers. This introduction serves as a gateway to explore the
significance, benefits, and processes associated with On-the-Job Training, which is an
integral part of preparing individuals for success in their chosen professions.
One major drawback of OJT can be finding the right time for it. The person responsible for
giving and evaluating the training has to be sure that his or her other responsibilities are
being met. Another disadvantage of OJT is that it can be difficult to find the right person to
conduct it. The person doing the training must have the knowledge and skills with the same
equipment that the learner will be working with care must also be given not to pass on.

1.2 Advantages of OJT

● It expands one’s professional network
● It improves job outlook
● It develops and fine-tunes skills

1.3 Disadvantages of OJT

● On-the-job training can be expensive for an organization.
● On-the-job training is usually limited in scope.
● On-the-job training can be unstructured
• On-the-job training needs to be standardized

CHAPTER 3
TASKED PERFORMED

3.1 Things I Performed

i. Data Entry
Data entry is a fundamental task in the world of information management and analysis. It
involves the process of inputting and organizing data into computer systems or databases
for various purposes.
Data entry is about accuracy, efficiency, data validation, organizational skills, attention
to detail, data security, continuous learning and team collaboration.
Data entry is not just about typing; it's about contributing to the accuracy and integrity of
the information which in turn supports informed decision making and operational
excellence.

In the era dominated by lightning fast digital communication, the art of letter writing
remains a timeless and cherished from of correspondence. This traditional practice,
though somewhat eclipsed by emails and instant messaging, holds a unique place in the

iv. Printing and Scanning Operation
In the realm of office technology and personal computing, printing and scanning
operations play pivotal roles in translating digital information into tangible documents
and vice versa. These operations are the bridges that connect the virtual and physical
words, facilitating communication, record keeping, and information sharing in a variety

v. Nepali typing
On most of the institution many work are done through the computer and new
technologies which are developing day by day. In education sector we have to enter
data in our computer. For many purpose we use Nepali typing in school sector like
making letters to a certain something or someone. It was fun to do different thing’s
related to the organization. This was beneficial for both of us. Nepali typing is essential
in every sector where we work. It is needed for every organization for a purpose if we
are expert in Nepali typing we can do multiple task through it. I had done making things
some of them are listed below:
a. Making letters for different other organization from the school.
b. Preparing a personal documentary on a specific topic about a teacher.
c. Making a letter of congratulation for a specific person.
d. Making a letter requesting the Municipality to provide CUG sim for the
students.

vi. Miscellaneous
Apart from the major things there are many things I got to learn in those three months
of OJT. I got to learn stuffs like photocopying, and scanning documents. The teachers in
that school didn’t have that much knowledge in computer except the computer teacher
so I got a chance to give some information on how to use the electronic devices like
computer to those teachers.
Apart from this I also volunteered in teaching the grade school students (1-6) class in
some specific subjects. Overall I learned many things in those 600 hours that I can't
include in this document.

CHAPTER 4
RECOMMENDATION

4.1 To College
The OJT program is really a great experience to the students. It gives us an opportunity to make
ourselves prepared to go into the working field. Since the technological world is vast and ever
changing I found the precious OJT program is short and I would recommend it to be more than
usual. And the continuous effort of the college authorities is crucial in fostering the beforehand
for the young and enthusiastic engineers in making.
The concern of the institutions and the organizations on such program is less receptive.
Therefore, I find it is very essential for the concerned college authorities to shower the rights of
responsibilities for the probable and abled organizations to take this program as an opportunity to
shape the younger minds of today for the better and brighter technocrats of tomorrow.

4.2 To Institution
The concerned immediate supervisor remains busy and at some points I found we are less guided
and concerned. It is fearing and difficult to handle the instruments and machines without the
experience and the proper guide. Thus, I feel the guide have to be more receptive to the quest of
the trainees.
The nature of the work needed to be handled by the trainee is fluctuating, as we were not
designated to a particular work but as per the availability of the task. Thus, I found it was
difficult to grabs the concept of any properly and confidently.

CHAPTER 5
CONCLUSION

6.1 Conclusion
In conclusion, my On the Job Training (OJT) experience was a valuable and enriching period in
which I acquired a diverse set of skills and experiences. From mastering data entry with a focus
on accuracy and data security to embracing the art of letter writing, ensuring the reliability of
computers through maintenance, and bridging the virtual and physical worlds with printing and
scanning operations, I gained a comprehensive understanding of various aspects of information
management and technology.
Furthermore, my proficiency in Nepali typing expanded my capabilities, allowing me to
contribute to various tasks and communications within the education sector and beyond. The
miscellaneous skills I picked up, including photocopying, video editing, and even teaching,
further enhanced my skill and gave me the opportunity to share my knowledge with others.
Overall, this OJT experience not only provided practical skills but also fostered personal and
professional growth. It underscored the importance of adaptability, continuous learning, and the
ability to bridge traditional practices with modern technology. As I move forward, I carry these
lessons and experiences with me, ready to apply them in my academic pursuits and future career
endeavors.
