SERIAL NUMBER: GE1901 COURSE TITLE: PHYSICAL EDUCATION 3 (INDIVIDUAL AND DUAL SPORTS) CREDIT: 2 units (2 hours lecture per week)
COURSE DESCRIPTION: This course aims to develop students’ skills in playing individual and dual sports. Basic skills, scoring, strategies of play, history, rules and etiquette are covered.
Students will develop their skill competencies, participate in individual and dual sports, and work toward achievement of personal fitness levels. Lastly,
students will have a better understanding that physical exercise provides the opportunity for communication, challenge, recreation, self-expression, and
sportsmanship.
PREREQUISITE: None
COURSE OUTCOMES: After successful completion of this course, the students should be able to:
CO1. Develop an understanding and knowledge of the rules and regulations that govern individual and dual sports;
CO2. Demonstrate the skills needed to be proficient when participating in various individual and dual sports;
CO3. Follow the rules and regulations of individual and dual sports;
CO4. Achieve and maintain a health-enhancing level of physical fitness for individual and dual sports; and
CO5. Demonstrate responsible personal and social behavior as it relates to individual and dual sports.
