INTRODUCTION

General remarks on Inspection and Test Programme (ITP)


The Inspection and Test Programme shows important inspection and test sequences for the main components of Heat Recovery Steam
1)
Generator of the power plants included in ALSTOM’s scope of supply Performed routine inspections - such as material identification
checks, intermediate inspections, checking of quality records, etc. - are not shown in the ITP.
All the inspection , examination, testing & certification shall be as per applicable codes and standards.
The ITP indicates those inspection and test operations which customer may witness.
Witness points (WP) agreed with the customer are entered in the final negotiated version of the ITP. The customer or his acceptance
authority is informed of the readiness for such witnessing within the period agreed upon between Customer and ALSTOM (10 days in
advance and 3 working days final).
If in case of inspections defined as witness points (WP), the witnessing party is unable to participate on the announced date, the
inspection will be performed by an internal inspection unit, independent of manufacturing, and the work will be continued.
In addition, the ITP contains information with regards to the type of quality records handed over to the customer.
Balance all items which is not included in this ITP, inspection, examination and tesing shall be as per applicable codes and standards.
Important:
The ITP may be adapted, if required, for technical/procurement and/or manufacturing reasons. Where ITP’s are contractually agreed
documents, they are subject to customer surveillance and, in the event of modification, a revision service copy of the ITP is submitted
to the customer.
Witness points as well as the scope of quality records to be supplied must be negotiated before signing of contract.

Standard Inspection and test programs may contain equipment that is not offered in the present tender,The scope of supply is
therefore as described and limited in the tender.
Abbreviations used
WP: Witness point. A given test to be witnessed by customer or his representative (negotiated with the customer)
Q: Quality records in three copies handed over to the customer (negotiated with the customer) as part of the final documentation,
on completion of the contract supply.
R: Quality record for internal purposes only
