HISTORICAL BACKGROUND OF THE COMPANY

The Community Environment and Natural Resources Office (CENRO) of Taytay

was first established in the year 1980 under the supervision of District Forester
Eufemio E. Obay. It was first called the Bureau of Forest Development using a space
shared at the Municipal Town Hall of Taytay. The present office with an area of 2,235
m² situated along the National Road of Barangay Poblacion, Taytay, Palawan is a
much better place. District Forester Obay initiated the construction of the office
building. It was a native style type made of light materials such sawali walling, tadtad
buho roofing and concrete flooring. Years after, it was renamed to Ministry of
Natural Resources, thence, Department of Environment and Natural Resources.

The initial construction of the present office building was effected by former
CENRO Juan C. Dela Cruz, who now is our PENRO. He was succeeded then by OIC,
CENRO Florencio C. Diaz and personnel to its completion in 2005. The succeeding
leadership all made enhancements like landscaping especially in the terms of our
present CENRO Officer. Through the years, the office’s the office and the services
evolved to this now one of the most beautiful DENR Office station in the country.

DAILY ROUTINES

We all know that in a certain job, we have our duties and responsibilities assigned to
us. We have to do that every day with commitment and integrity. We call that
everyday routines. At some point of our lives we get bored doing those things
repeatedly. In DENR office, I also have my everyday routines.
We have lots of everyday routines that I know helped me a lot to learn about
their field. Everyday I have to input all of the data to the system. Those data are
about the land/lot request to be measured. I also have to print, encode, and
photocopy some documents needed for the operation. We also have some days that
they allow us to be with them at the field. We get to see more in the field area. In the
field, aside from observing we also help them interview the resident of a certain area
about their lot. Like if they are okay with their lots or if there is any problem with the
papers. We also measure their owned lot for the resident to be aware and also for
them to protect their properties. We are making sure that they don’t have any
problem with their lots. If there is any, of course DENR will be always to the rescue.
I am genuinely happy with those everyday tasks given to me. I get to help a lot
of people and the most important is the lessons and knowledge that they have
imparted to me.
SKILLS AND CURRENT TECHNOLOGY LEARNED/ ENFORCED

Technology that we have right now is very helpful in so many ways. It helps us
do our tasks easier. We can also do a lot of work in just a short period of time. Well,
we are all aware that technology is really now a necessity for us. Communications,
household chores, school stuffs, transportation and so many more will be very
aesthetic and easy with the help of this so called Technology.

There are lots of skills and current technology that I learned from them. Every
day that I input data, it helped me learn more about Microsoft excel. I also get to
know and use the system that they are using. It also helped me improve my skills in
terms of typing or using the keyboard. They also have their machines that I know
now how to use. Like we can photocopy at the same time print using just one
machinery. Sometimes we install some applications that is needed.

In school, we study about Microsoft office. Word, Excel, Photoshop, Power

Point and etc. I can say that with all the knowledge that I have and learned from
school, I am sure that I was able to use those to help and imparted it to them. I hope
that they learned something from me as I really learned a lot from them.

BEST EXPERIENCE ON THE JOB

Wherever we go, we always have the best spot or place. Whatever we do, we always
miss our favourite one. We treasure those things that is best for us. Experience that helped
us lot and made us happy. We all have our “Best experience” in every place that we go,
things that we encounter and people that we meet.

For every day that I go to the office doings stuffs, what makes me excited is when
they inform us that we are going to visit a certain place. I do always love to travel and
explore especially when I am exploring with a mission. Yes, we visit some places to work
and not to have a vacation or to relax but it just really makes me happy always. What
makes it more fun is the people that I am with when we do field works. We are enjoying it
every time. We went to different places and all of those are my best experience with them.

I am always grateful to all of the employees of the DENR for the trust. They treated
us like we really also an employee of the company. Hoping for more power and success for
the company.
FAULTS

CAUSES
PERSONAL RELATIONS: INTEGRATION WITH THE COMPANY PERSONNEL

Relationship with the company personnel is always important. Good relationship with every one
also means good output of every work or task. If there is any misunderstanding, work will be affected.
Everyone will be affected actually and that would create a wall between members. Communication will
be also bad. Nothing is perfect as we all know but at least we can do something that will make closer to
it. Communication is always the key inside an organization. If there is misunderstanding, they can talk
about and probably fix it. Let’s always surround ourselves with positive energy. In my case, I can say that
I am lucky. All of the employees of DENR are so kind and approachable. They are always willing to teach
us of all the things that we need to know. They trusted us with all the important documents. Treating us
like we are also one of the employee of the company is one of the best. I think we are just enjoying the
days that we are working.
