METHOD STATEMENT FOR INSTALLATION OF CONTACTOR

Purpose:

Purpose of this method statement is to provide maximum safety to the man and machine, utilize
resources and extend utmost life of equipment.

Steps of Installation:

Following are the steps of installation of magnetic contactor for AC units

1. Always select for the genuine spare part (contactor) available from the authorized dealer of the
make.
2. Select the correct model and check the coil voltage (230/24 V) and incoming voltage from the
name plate.
3. Power of the main supply before opening the outdoor unit cover for accessing the contactor.
4. Remove the outdoor cover by unscrewing the provided screws.
5. Slide out the panel unit from the cabinet.
6. Remove the old contactor by unscrewing the provided screw
7. Fix the new contactor to the desired area and connect the cables accordingly.
8. Ensure that all the cables are firmly tightened and there won’t be any loose connection
9. Switch on the unit carefully to check the contactor is working properly or not
10. Put back the removed casing and tighten all the screws firmly
11. Put the power on of the AC and reset the unit.
