Technological and Industrial needs for National Development. Describe three ways in
which teaching and learning can be used to achieve this goal. (5 Marks)

b) Discuss five language barriers to effective communication in the classroom during


teaching and learning. (5 Marks)

c) Briefly outline five ways you can modify lecture method to make it effective in lesson
delivery during teaching and learning. (5 Marks)

d) Explain five factors that the teacher should consider when preparing schemes of work
during the planning for teaching. (5 marks)

e) Motivation is a prerequisite to effective teaching and learning. Explain five strategies you
can employ as a teacher to motivate and sustain learner's attention in a learning situation.

a) As you prepare to go for teaching practice later in the year classroom management will be
very vital for effective teaching and learning. Analyze five ways in which you will achieve
effective classroom control. (lOMarks)
b) With carefully designed sting of questions a teacher is able to elicit appropriate response
from the learners. Describe five ways in which you will successfully utilize questioning
technique during your teaching practice. (10 Marks)

a) In teaching and learning process it important to place the learners into a receptive frame
of mind and to create an organized framework for content to be learned.

b) In John Hattie's Visible Teaching & Visible Learning it is critical that teachers see
themselves as evaluators of their effects on students and develop a mind frame in which
they see it as their primary role to evaluate their effect on learning. Accentuate any four
arguments by Hattie on the mind frame you ought to have as an effective teacher.
