THE PROBLEM

Statement of the Problem. The main objective of this study is to make an

analysis on the cause and effect of juvenile delinquency in Tagbilaran City, Bohol for

the year 2024 – 2025 with an end view of proposing preventive measures.

Specifically, it aimed to discover the following questions:

1. What is the profile of the respondents in terms of:

A. Juvenile/Community Residents

a. Age;

b. Gender; and

c. Grade Level?

B. Police Officers

a. Age;

b. Gender;

c. Civil Status; and

d. Rank?

2. What are the causes and effects of being juvenile delinquent?

3. What are the status offense that a juvenile delinquent made?

4. Is there a significant difference in the perceptions of responses on the:

1. Causes and effects of being juvenile delinquent; and

2. Status offense that a juvenile delinquent made?

5. What preventive measures could be designed in order to prevent the juvenile

delinquency in the City of Tagbilaran?
