Research Instrument

Purpose

Thank you for voluntarily agreeing to participate in this study on human trafficking in Namibia.

The purpose of this study is to assess the national security threats caused by human trafficking,

the methods used by traffickers to commit crime, determine the effectiveness of strategies

employed by the Police to prevent and combat human trafficking. For this reason, the researcher

has prepared this research instrument to gather data on this phenomenon.

Rights to participate

Your participation in this study is strictly voluntary. You may discontinue participation at any

trafficking. This research is purely academic and is meant to address the following research
objectives: To determine the current prevalence of human trafficking in Namibia; To investigate
the causes of human trafficking; To investigate the implication of trafficking to human and
national security; To assess the adequacy preparedness of Namibia in dealing with human
trafficking; and To provide possible recommendation to combat human trafficking in Namibia.
The questions below have been designed to measure your opinions on specific statements on the
study and will take approximately 10 minutes to respond. There is no right or wrong answers; we
just need your opinion. Confidentiality: The information you will provide will not be published
or presented in a way that would allow anyone to identify you. No names, phone numbers or
