THE VIEWS OF ENGLISH TEACHERS ON PROJECT BASED LEARNING

AND ITS INFLUENCE IN THUA THIEN HUE PRIMARY SCHOOLS

Hue Department of Education and Training has organized numerous conferences


since 2019 to improve the quality and innovation in teaching. In 2022-2023 school year,
Hue was one of seven provinces selected by Education sector to experiment integrated
education across the nation, placing a strong emphasis on the value of high-quality
teaching and learning, including English.
Project-based learning is one of the innovative approaches to teaching English that
has been adopted in place of conventional strategies. This study focuses on how English
teachers see the effect and influence of project-based learning. The research's requirement
is 50 English teachers in Thua Thien Hue public primary schools. The method for
gathering data was a semi-structured "Interview Form". Descriptive analysis was utilized
for analyzing the data. The research group's English teachers stipulated that project-based
learning boosts students' critical thinking abilities and academic performance because of
its lively and efficient. Learners are given incentive for project-based learning activities
could change how they experience regarding English lessons. The participants who were
approaches to project-based learning in some courses and workshops, considered it to be
helpful since it made their English sessions more engaging and thought-provoking. As
they encourage students to devise their own answers to issues and make them fascinate at
the same time, project-based learning activities ought to be deployed more frequently in
English lessons.
The study's insights imply that more project ideas should be gathered and that
project-based learning should be used in English classrooms.
