Human Resource Management

- What is meant by a "human resource management system," and how does this
relate to the concept of an organization as a system?

• The Human Resources Management System is a digital personal assistant that

helps HR workers with tedious tasks. HRMS enables firms to automate various
procedures and decrease errors, giving them a competitive advantage and more
time to do critical duties. This type of platform facilitates communication, allows
businesses to monitor staff, and saves money over time. HRMS can relate to the
concept of organization by having the right people in every position in the
organization to make sure that the organization will process efficiently and with
less error, which will result in a more competitive and reputable organization. It
means that HR is involved in making a system within the organization by creating
an organizational structure for the workforce that helps achieve the goals of the
organization by being more efficient and organized.

- What are the important goals of human resource management? For each goal,
give two examples of specific HR actions or techniques that organizations can
use to obtain that goal.

• There are four important goals of human resource management.

1. Facilitate organizational competitiveness.

o Analyzing, determining, and resolving the problems of employees – Solving

the problems of employees in the workplace can improve work retention and
engagement, which can make employees focus more on their work and improve
their competitiveness.

o Innovation – Having new technology improves the competitiveness of

organizations by making ideas easily attainable and work more efficient.
2. Compliance with legal and social obligations.

o Developing and enforcing policies that protect employees' rights – By

having policies in place that protect not only the welfare of an organization’s
employees but also the organization from legal liabilities.

o Providing benefits that employees deserve – Having benefits not only attracts
top talent and improves productivity, but it is also a legal requirement that every
organization needs to meet that is mandated by the government.

3. Enhance productivity and quality.

o Healthy Working Environment – Having a healthy working environment

improves the confidence of employees, which in turn makes them more
productive.

o Incentive Programs for Deserving Employees – These programs boost the

morale of the employees and give them the motivation to do well in their jobs,
which results in quality work.
4. Promote individual growth and development.

o Inclusion of growth in organizational values – Having the growth of

employees as part of the values of the organization will make it part of every
decision made by the company, and it will not neglect the growth of employees.

o Professional Training Programs – These programs benefit both the

organization and the employees. The benefit that the organization receives is
having more employees who are more skilled and who will contribute to the
organization, while employees attain more knowledge about their field that can
help them go further in their careers.
