PROCEDURE OF GASSING AND DEGASSING

Objective:
Degassing of cable compartment ...... This will be achieved after issuing the
work permit because .... bay still not energized. The restoration will be after
electrical test, High voltage test and Link installation.

Details of Equipments & Tools shall be available at site

before starting the work:
- Dilo Machine
- Gas Leak Detector
- SF6 Gas Cylinders
- Links
- O-ring
- Absorbent for GIS (1 bag)
- Tools set for GIS

Work Permit:
NG operator will give the shutdown and work permit will be issued to the EPC
witness
- Readiness of all required safety with documents & proper PPE.
- NG Operator should be present to issue the work permit.
- Control witness should be present to sign the work permt.
- AMD witness wll check the existing circuit before start the work.
- GIS maintenance witness should be availble for all the time.

- Safety work through plan
- Safety observation program
- First aid box
- Risk Assessment

1. The gas condition of (…..) shall be checked by Gas

analizer.

2. Connect Dilo machine hose to C/H.

3. Select Degassing function on the machine then start

degassing for C/H up to 0 bar.

Note: Make Sure to reduce two bar from behind compartment for safety purpse

4.Open side cover for CH.

5. Plug-in the cable by Siemens team

6. Perform Electrical Test on cables by Siemens Team
7- Cleaning inside using Alchol along with GIS tissue and
vacuum cleaner

8. Replacing of Silica Gel

9. Assembling a link in line with the drawing

10. Shall do the Vacuuming 8 Hours

9. Filling up to 5.2 Bar.

10. Prepration for leakage test & Plastic Wrapping

11. Gas analizer test and Gas leakage test after 24 H

Procedures for HV Test prpration on Cable D08:

- Cleaning
- Installation of Adaptor and Bushing with cable connection at all phases R Y
B

- Close Cover & Vacuuming 4 H (Adaptor & C/H)

- Filling gas at 4.2 Bar and normalize behind Compartment .
- Perform HV test by Siemens for each phase separately.
