It gives me immense joy to recommend Tahmina Khanom Tandra, an outstanding student who received her
bachelor’s degree in Electrical and Electronic Engineering from the Islamic University of Technology in May
2022. Tahmina is someone who exhibits a beautiful balance between her academic and professional career -
with a cheerful and malleable disposition, I strongly believe she is qualified and suitable to pursue
postgraduate studies. She obtained a CGPA of 3.42 on a scale of 4.00 in her B.Sc. program. I have known her
for about three years as one of my undergraduate students at IUT and through her undergraduate thesis in
final year, which she led under my supervision. Therefore, I am in a position where I have observed her very
closely.

I came to know Tahmina very well when she first enrolled in my EEE4541: Wireless Communication course in
her fifth semester. Later, she also attended my lectures on EEE4641: Cellular Communication and EEE4841:
Microwave Engineering. Her attendance and performance in class were both excellent, as she participated in
meaningful ways, turned in well-written and thoughtful assignments on time, and was always attentive in
class. Even during the period of online classes, there were no lack of concentration and performance from her
side, rather, she became more serious. Under my supervision, while working on her thesis on “Joint
Transmission Coordinated Multipoint on Mobile Users in 5G Heterogeneous Network” during her final year,
she demonstrated a strong desire to do advanced investigations in the field of wireless communication. She
led her team to a triumphant finish, getting an A+ grade and releasing the work in IEEE, thanks to her
exceptional ability to handle complicated challenges with her analytical skills and originality in logical thinking,
imaginative approach, and sheer perseverance.

Tahmina strikes me as a great individual with a strong spirit. She always paid her professors respect and
upheld cordial relationships with her classmates. She is a well-disciplined and diligent student. In addition, she
has an excellent grasp when it comes to verbal and written communication in English. She has great leadership
qualities as well when she demonstrated it to the department by organizing different extra-curricular
activities. She even represented her university and country in international events.

In addition to her academic achievements, Tahmina has showcased a well-rounded character through her
active involvement in volunteer work. Currently serving as a volunteer at Second Chance Animal Rescue
Windsor Essex, she demonstrates her commitment to social causes and animal welfare. Moreover, her
previous volunteer work in Bangladesh, where she contributed to the education of underprivileged children,
reflects her dedication to making a positive impact beyond the academic sphere.
