After reading the suggested article, I have adjusted my difficulties of formulating 5E lessons,’

especially in terms of assessment, I had difficulty making my students self-reflective learners.

The idea of engaging the student with some open-ended questions or with some videos or
power point presentations or with a short reading followed up with critical discussions were
notable learning from 5E lessons resources. The incredible features that motivated me is that
5E provide opportunity for the students think independently, co-operatively, and critically while
teachers’ role is to encourage and observe rather than giving them a nice lecture or tell them
the actual solution. I also like the extension phase of the 5E model as it allows learners to
display their learning by many creative ways such as making a brochure or doing a presentation.

The 5E lesson design provide options to accomplish the learning goals as there are variation of
learners with varying learning style. There are students with audio, visual, audio-visual,
kinesthetic learning style, who learned better if the knowledge is delivered through their
preferred medium. By using 5E instructional model, teacher can make universal and
differentiated lessons for the learners, making learning accessible to all learners.
