Homework Guidelines
Our homework policy includes the following guidelines:

Grade-appropriate assignments: Homework assignments are designed to be


developmentally appropriate for each grade level, taking into consideration the students'
abilities and needs.
Reasonable time frame: We aim to ensure that students have enough time to complete their
homework without feeling overwhelmed. The recommended time frame for homework is 10
minutes per grade level (e.g. 20 minutes for grade 2, 60 minutes for grade 6).
Clear instructions and expectations:Teachers are expected to provide clear instructions and
expectations for each homework assignment, including due dates and grading criteria.
Alternative assignments: We recognize that students may have different learning styles and
may require alternative assignments. Teachers are encouraged to provide alternative
assignments for students who may need them.

Support for Students and Parents


We understand that homework can be challenging for both students and parents. That's why we offer
various resources and support to help students and parents navigate through homework assignments:

Homework clubs: Some of our schools offer homework clubs where students can receive
additional support and guidance from teachers.
Online resources: Our board provides online resources, such as study guides and practice
tests, to help students with their homework.
Parent-teacher communication: We encourage parents to communicate with their child's
