Innovative Intervention Tool for Grade 10 English

I. Grammar Worksheets: Provide students with grammar worksheets covering basic
grammar rules and concepts such as verb tenses, sentence structure, and punctuation.
Worksheets can be completed independently or in pairs, with opportunities for peer
review and correction.

II. Reading Logs: Implement a reading log system where students track the books,
articles, or short stories they read in English. Encourage students to write brief
summaries or reflections on their reading experiences to improve reading
comprehension and critical thinking skills.

III. Peer Editing Sessions: Organize peer editing sessions where students exchange
written assignments or essays and provide feedback to their classmates. This
collaborative approach to writing allows students to receive constructive criticism and
improve their writing skills through practice and revision.

IV. English Language Games: Incorporate language learning games into classroom
activities to make learning fun and engaging. Games like "Taboo," "Charades," or "20
Questions" can help reinforce vocabulary, speaking, and listening skills in an interactive
way.

V. Daily Language Practice: Allocate time each day for students to engage in brief
language practice exercises, such as writing a journal entry, composing a sentence
using a new vocabulary word, or participating in a short conversation with a partner.

VI. Role-Playing Activities: Organize role-playing activities where students assume

different roles and engage in simulated real-life scenarios, such as ordering food at a
restaurant, making travel arrangements, or participating in job interviews. This practical
approach to language learning helps students develop their speaking and
communication skills in a low-pressure environment.

VII. Storytelling Sessions: Encourage students to share personal anecdotes, narratives, or

short stories in English during storytelling sessions. This promotes creativity, oral
fluency, and confidence in expressing oneself in English.
