ART OF GOVERNMENT

We see the present administration being scrutinized for its stance on key
issues by different societal forces like activists, non-government
organizations, the church, and other political actors - an indication that our
democracy works.

PUBLIC AFFAIRS

We see roads and bridges built, and schools and hospitals erected - thanks
to the taxes we pay.

COMPROMISE AND CONSENSUS

In school, we abide by the rules to avoid any inconvenience and we

accomplish tasks assigned by our teachers to fulfill subject requirements.

POWER AND THE DISTRIBUTION OF RESOURCES

On our way home, we see City X’s advanced science and special education
schools and, considering its numerous programs and incentives for teachers,
realize that the city government has invested more funds in education, while
City Y has instead appropriated more funds in health and medical facilities
than any other sectors.

VOCATION

As we watch the news while eating dinner, we cannot help but distinguish
between the actions of the good and the bad politicians, how we wish we
could have more ideal, selfless, and righteous public servants in our
government.
