Introduction to Internet:

Internet is a system of interconnected computer networks to provide access to the

World Wide Web (www).

Need of Internet:

1. Receive & send messages, files, and documents fastly.

2. Financial transactions.
3. Communication.
4. Online Banking.
5. Online Shopping.
6. Education.
7. Entertainment.

Requirements for an Internet connection:

In order to give an internet connection to the computer, we need the following

devices:

1. Computer
2. Internet line
3. Modem
4. Software such as Internet browsers(Google chrome)

Steps to open web browser:

1. Switch on the computer.

2. Click on the Google chrome.
3. Type the address on the space provided.
4. Press Enter.
Search Engines:

Search engines are the engines which are used to search various fields in the
World Wide Web through web browsers. Example: Google.

Finding/Downloading/Saving Images:

1. Open “Google chrome”

2. Type the address www.google.com
3. Type “Flowers” in the search box.
4. Click on images.
5. Select an image to download.
6. Right-click on image & select “save image”.
7. The image will be saved.
