►Direction: Briefly explain the concept of socialization based on the sociological theories. Relate it
to your personal life's experience.

1. Family has a greatest influence on how we think and behave.

The family is the primary agent of socialization, meaning that it is the most influential group in
shaping our early socialization experiences. Through our interactions with parents, siblings, and other
extended family members, we learn about our culture's values, norms, and expectations. We also learn
how to behave in social situations and how to interact with others.
I can relate to the sociological theories of socialization in my own personal life. I was raised in a
traditional family with strong values. My parents taught me to be respectful, kind, and hardworking.
They also taught me the importance of education and community involvement.

2. Peer influence and social media greatly affects our mental behavior.
As I got older, my peers and social media began to play a greater role in my life. My peers influenced
me to try new things and to be more adventurous. Social media exposed me to new ideas and values,
and it helped me to connect with people from all over the world.
As we grow older, our peers and social media begin to play an increasingly important role in our
socialization. Our peers can influence our attitudes, beliefs, and behaviors. Social media can also
expose us to new ideas and values, and it can connect us with people from all over the world.

3. As we grow older and mature we tend to understand what is morally good and immoral.
As we mature, we develop our own moral compass and begin to understand what is right and wrong.
This is influenced by our socialization experiences, as well as by our own personal experiences and
reflections.
As I have matured, I have developed my own moral compass and I have come to understand what is
important to me. I value honesty, integrity, and compassion. I also believe in the importance of social
justice and equality.

4. One way to develop social-self is to interact with other people.

I am grateful for the socialization experiences that I have had throughout my life. These experiences
have helped me to become the person that I am today.
Social interaction is essential for the development of the self. Through our interactions with others, we
learn who we are and how we fit into the world. We also learn how to communicate, cooperate, and
resolve conflict.
